Bob Berrigan

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Education is Bob’s passion. He has over 15 years in education working with students from 6th through 12th grades, including coaching girls in grades 7-12 in volleyball and softball.  Bob is a local chapter adviser for FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and manages the SW Region of Washington FBLA, which includes advising the student state officers. He has served on the WA FBLA Board of Directors since 2012.

Bob’s high school students have partnered with Kenyan students to create a trade exchange program to benefit the less fortunate in Nairobi, Kenya.  In 2012, Bob and his wife, Liz, traveled to Kenya on a mission trip and have been passionate about helping the people of Kenya ever since.

Bob is an avid photographer and has self-published several calendars and greeting cards.  Service to the community is very important to him. Along with his wife, Bob oversees the operations of his church's food pantry in addition to serving in the children's ministry. He has held several leadership roles in Boy Scouts of America. Bob previously served on the Board of Directors for the Kettle Falls Historical Center in Kettle Falls, Washington.

Elizabeth Berrigan

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS / BOARD OF DIRECTOR, SECRETARY

Liz works as a paralegal for a large law firm in the business practice group.  She specializes in estate planning, probate and trust administration, and many of the functions with forming and managing a business.  She enjoys helping people who are dealing with the loss of a loved one to get through the legal process.

In 2012, Liz and her husband, Bob, traveled to Kenya on a mission trip and have been passionate about helping the people of Kenya ever since.  Seeing the extreme poverty and living conditions experienced by many people in Kenya opened her eyes to many truths including the importance of education.  After speaking to several children and teenagers around Nairobi and realizing that education helps break the cycle of poverty, the Lord placed it on her heart to find a way to help kids who are unable to afford school tuition.  This vision became a reality when she joined the Board of Directors of Mission & Welfare International in June of 2013.

Serving others is very important to her. Along with her husband, Liz oversees the weekly operation of her church's food pantry in addition to serving in the children's ministry. She also previously served on the Board of Directors for a local high school sports booster club.

Julie Crites

DIRECTOR OF HEALTH PROGRAMS

Over the span of 34 years, my nursing career has taken me from Maternity to Geriatrics, Surgery, Outpatient Clinic, Outdoor School, and Case Management.  Each area of nursing has benefits, but by far the most satisfying nursing experiences have been the Medical Mission Work, both to Kenya, Africa and Oaxaca, Mexico.  My eyes have been opened to the suffering outside my own realm, and this has ignited a passion to do whatever God puts on my heart to help by offering my medical services when the opportunity arises.

I am strongly drawn to the children in the poverty stricken areas, and their ability to find joy in even the toughest circumstances.  It breaks my heart to see them struggle with the health issues that here we can treat so easily...ringworm, ear infections, cavities, a cut on the foot that for them can result in a major infection, etc.  Any small effort is so appreciated by these little ones and their parents.  It is my prayer to always be open to the Spirit of the Lord and how I can serve Him, in caring for others, whether overseas or at home.
