The Bukura Home was established in 2013 and is run by Natalya Bondar and a small team. The home is located in a rural upcountry village close to Kakamega, about 62 mies from Nairobi. The home sits on a half-acre property with two houses, a small vegetable garden, and a chicken coop.

There are presently over 30 children  being cared for ranging in age from three weeks to nine years.
